The federal executive council (FEC) has approved a $1 billion Chinese loan for a Hydropower project in Niger state.
Sulieman Adamu, the Minister of Water Resources, confirmed the approval by FEC meeting on Wednesday.
It will be gotten from the China-Exim Bank for the power project.
President Muhammadu Buhari presided the FEC meeting at the State House, Abuja.
The Gurara II Hydropower project is expected to generate 360 megawatts of electricity.
