Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, has opened up about his relationship with fellow comedian, AY Makun.

In a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast by Nedu Wazobia, Basketmouth revealed that he has never had any close or personal relationship with AY, despite claims made by AY that their feud started over a sum of N30,000 not paid to him by Basketmouth.

AY had also claimed that Basketmouth often called him to perform at events at the start of his career in the comedy industry.

Reacting to AY’s claims, Basketmouth said, “90 per cent of all he said are lies, in fact, I’m still in shock and all my friends are laughing at me because they warned me to be careful of him.”

Basketmouth went on to reveal that he has never had any close or personal relationship with AY, which is why he was not invited to his wedding.

“AY is not my friend, and I didn’t invite him or his wife to my wedding. I have never visited him or invited him to my house, and you will never find a picture of us standing together on social media,” he said.
