The Taraba state government has relaxed the 24-Hour curfew imposed Jalingo.

Okay Nigeria reported on Monday that the state government imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Jalingo.

However, on Tuesday, the dusk-to-dawn curfew was extended to 24 hours following a celebration which quickly turned violent with the throwing of stones and destruction of property by hoodlums after the declaration of Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the governorship election.

Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku, in a statement on Wednesday announced that the curfew now runs 6:00 pm to 4:00 am.
