The seven major oil marketers in the country have officially registered with the Dangote Petroleum Refinery for the lifting and distribution of refined petroleum products.

Dealers operating under the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) confirmed this milestone on Sunday, signaling a crucial step toward the distribution of products from the state-of-the-art $20 billion Dangote refinery.

The major marketers that have registered with the refinery include:

  • 11 Plc
  • Conoil Plc
  • Ardova Plc
  • MRS Oil Nigeria Plc
  • OVH Energy Marketing Limited
  • Total Nigeria Plc
  • NNPC Retail

With their registration, these key players in the industry are poised to commence the distribution of fuel produced by the 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) Dangote Petroleum Refinery once commercial terms are finalized.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) are also actively engaging with the management of the Dangote refinery.

IPMAN revealed plans to hold discussions with the refinery’s management later this week to negotiate terms for product loading, while PETROAN continues its engagements for the supply of products from the multi-billion-dollar facility.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery marked a significant milestone on Friday by announcing the commencement of production of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) and JetA1 (aviation fuel).
