Ten unidentified corpses were found in Ibillo/Lampese along the Abuja Road by residents of the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area in Edo State.

In the early hours of Tuesday, our correspondent learned that some of the victims were initially found by farmers as they traveled to their farms.

He recalled, “On Tuesday morning, I received a call that some of our farmers had discovered some dead bodies scattered on the sides of the road around 7.30am.

I raced there and discovered that it was indeed true. We contacted the police right away, and we eventually discovered 10 dead bodies.

The police tried to look for indications of gunfire, but they were unable to uncover any, so the corpses appeared to be new because blood was gushing from the mouths of perhaps two or three of them.

We took the dead bodies from the bushes and placed them at the General Hospital in Ibillo with the assistance of the police, the civil defense, and hunters.

I just spoke with the DPO, Ibillo division, and he is going to bring us specific information, after which the police will respond formally, Nwabuzor stated. However, he claimed that just 10 male bodies had been discovered.
