Zenith Bank Plc has once again been recognized as the Best Corporate Governance ‘Financial Services’ Africa 2023 by the esteemed Ethical Boardroom.

This prestigious accolade marks the fourth consecutive year that the bank has been commended for its unwavering commitment to global best practices and the institutionalization of corporate governance.

The announcement was made in the Spring 2023 edition of The Ethical Boardroom magazine, a renowned international publication known for its incisive coverage and in-depth analysis of global corporate governance matters.

Zenith Bank’s consistent adherence to exemplary governance principles has set a remarkable industry-wide precedent, positioning the bank as a champion in this field.

Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc, expressed his delight at the recognition.

He attributed this remarkable achievement to the pioneering efforts of the bank’s board in establishing a governance culture that has become the cornerstone of their reputation.

This recent achievement adds to Zenith Bank’s impressive track record of excellence. The institution has received numerous awards over the years, including being named the Number One Bank in Nigeria for the 13th consecutive year by Tier-1 Capital, according to The Banker Magazine’s 2022 Top 1000 World Banks Ranking.

Zenith Bank has also been honored as the Best Bank in Nigeria for three consecutive years (2020-2022) by Global Finance World’s Best Banks Awards, and as the Best Commercial Bank in Nigeria for 2021 and 2022 by the World Finance Banking Awards.
