Interswitch, a company specializing in digital payment technologies, has provided Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) with over 45 million naira worth of IT equipment. This donation, supported by Cisco, a collaborating partner of the college, aimed to benefit the students and was presented during a visit to the institution’s rector.

Femi Atere, Interswitch’s Sales Manager, presented the equipment and praised Yabatech’s academic excellence, noting its status as a leading and preferred tertiary institution in Nigeria. He explained that the devices were intended to establish an academy that would empower students through technology integration, expert guidance, and other digital resources.

Imoh Akpan, a Program Manager from Cisco Network Academy, emphasized the substantial value of the equipment, stating that it would enhance students’ practical and theoretical learning experiences, setting them apart.

Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of Yabatech, accepted the donation on behalf of the college and expressed profound gratitude. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to developing its workforce and highlighted how the partnership and donation would strengthen Yabatech’s position as a leader in manpower development, ensuring global standards and providing quality education for future generations. He also pledged to maximize the use of the donated equipment and requested an expansion of the existing collaboration.
