Nigerian music superstar Wizkid has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Morayo, on her first birthday since her passing. Taking to social media, Wizkid expressed his deep longing and miss for his mother, describing her as the “love of my life”.

In a poignant post, Wizkid wrote, “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, Mama! Life is empty without you.”

He also shared fond memories of his mother’s smile, laugh, hugs, and kisses, which he said he would never forget. Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, and was laid to rest on October 13, 2023.

The singer also referenced his latest album, “Morayo”, which he dedicated to his mother’s memory, saying it was the “best album I ever made”. Wizkid’s tribute is a testament to the enduring love and bond between him and his late mother.
