With 27,838 votes, Ize-Iyamu wins APC governorship primary in Edo

Osagie Ize-Iyamu has been declared the winner of the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state.

Okay.ng understands that Ize-Iyamu defeated two other aspirants, Pius Odubu and Osaze Obazee.

Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Monday announced the result of the direct primary conducted in the 18 local governments of Edo State.

According to him, Ize-Iyamu got 27,838 votes while Odubu secured 3,776 votes and Obazee gained 2,724 votes.

Following this exercise, Ize-Iyamu is now the official candidate of the APC in the governorship in Edo, scheduled for September 19.
