Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has taken a jab at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, claiming that Nigerians have rejected the Adamawa-born politician following multiple failed attempts at the presidency.

Speaking to his followers in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Wike mocked Atiku’s political career, urging him to return to his hometown after what he described as repeated electoral failures.

“I heard Atiku say Nigerians have rejected us. Did we pick form [to contest Rivers’ LG election]? No,” Wike said during his address. He continued by turning the criticism back on Atiku: “You, who have contested and failed woefully, Nigerians have rejected you; therefore, go back home.”
