A 53-year-old grandmother has been arrested, charged and convicted of rape after she allegedly defiled and abused her 4 grandchildren, prosecutors in Ohio has said.

Edwina Louis of Wheelersburg, was convicted of four counts of r*pe, three counts of child endangerment, one count of kidnapping and one count of tampering with evidence. Scioto County Common Pleas Judge William T. Marshall immediately sentenced her to four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole on the charges of r*pe.

The four grandchildren testified on court against the grandmother, telling tales about torture, r*pe and starvation. The abuse came to light, when the grandmother’s 9-year-old granddaughter sent a message to her teacher, saying that she and her siblings were being beaten, tied, starved and defiled.

The girl begged the teacher to call police and send help immediately. Four children, all under 12 years old, were removed from the home by emergency court order. Louis, her daughter, Bobbi Sue Pack, and her boyfriend Juan Sanchez, were arrested several days later. Pack and Sanchez faced the same charges, and pleaded guilty. The children are currently living with other families, and are said to be doing good.
