Former Minister of the FCT and Kaduna State governorship candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has said that Nigerians will witness three major changes during the first 100 days of an APC led government at the centre.

Asked in an interview what the APC would do in the first three months if it get power at the centre, El-Rufai said the government will begin to tackle insecurity, stabilise the economy and fight corruption.

Excerpts:

We have a four-year document containing policy direction and programmes, which the presidential candidate will tweak and implement. And I am sure within a hundred days of our taking office, very clear differences in three areas would be witnessed by Nigerians.

The first will be in the areas of security. You will see this insurgency being addressed in a very focused manner that will bring it to an end in the shortest possible time.

Secondly, you will see very clear policies being put in place to ensure that our economy does not collapse. This administration has brought this economy near to its knees through impunity, corruption and outright theft of oil revenues. We are going to put a stop to that and within a hundred days, you will see a very clear difference, and that difference will translate into exchange rate improvement, balance of payment improvement, and so on and so forth.

Thirdly, you will see a very clear war against corruption being launched; not what you see now, in which it is only those that are in opposition to the president that are adjudged corrupt.

Under an APC administration, anyone that breaks the law or embezzles public funds will be dealt with even if he is the son of the president. So, you will see all these changes in the shortest possible time but the details are in our manifestoes and I am sure the presidential candidate will speak of it in the coming days and weeks.
