VP Kashim Shettima Heads to US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas

Vice President Kashim Shettima has embarked on a journey from Abuja to Dallas, United States, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa.

The gathering will bring together political and business leaders from Africa, the United States, and beyond, facilitating dialogues and networking opportunities.

Shettima will be among African leaders such as President Joseph Boakai of Liberia, President Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, and President Joao Lourenço of Angola.

The summit agenda includes various sessions covering critical topics, including infrastructure investment, agribusiness, and energy futures in Africa.

Senator Shettima is slated to participate in several key discussions, including a Roundtable on African Infrastructure Investment and a high-level panel on agribusiness. His focus will be on transitioning “from food insecurity to thriving agribusinesses,” reflecting the urgent need for sustainable agricultural development across the continent.

Additionally, Vice President Shettima will chair a session dedicated to promoting the ‘invest in Nigeria’ initiative, showcasing the country’s investment potential to the international business community.
