The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in its heightened fight against corruption has recovered yet another property from the former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The seized property located in Asokoro, Abuja is said to be worth N6,300,000,000 ($18 million) with furniture worth N700,000,000 ($2 million).

According to the anti-graft agency during an interview with Al Jazeerah, the seized property is also equipped with a bullet proof gym.

Displaying the recovered properties which include jewelries and monies, the EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu during the interview said: “We have been able to take on a lot of big shots that were hitherto were untouchable in the three arms of the military, political class.

He further said: “We have recorded 164 convictions in just one year”.

Ibrahim Magu while denying speculations that the heightened fight against corruption by the agency was politically motivated said: “No, not my EFCC, not the EFCC of today. We are not politicized. If there is an allegation against anybody, we will go after them”
