The smartphone, thanks to its 4000 mAh battery boasts of up to a day of use and up to 15 days standby battery life. UmiDigi Z1 also promises outstanding performance with an octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM.

UmiDigi Z1 offers the same premium design that UmiDigi is known for. It is built on a super-slim aluminium alloy unibody that measures about 8.2 mm thick. You can choose between soft gold or prime gray for colour.

UmiDigi Z1 features a 5.5-inch IGZO LCD display from Sharp. The display offers 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 4 cover.

UmiDigi Z1 offers a dual-camera setup on the back. You get a 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels rear camera combo for good quality photography. The camera offers quad-LED flash and phase detection autofocus. It also supports 4k video recording. The phone sports a 5 megapixels front camera.

Hardware & Software

UmiDigi Z1 is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6757 chipset. Thanks to a generous 6GB RAM, the smartphone should deliver a solid performance for gaming and multitasking. The smartphone also has 64GB built-in storage with support for up to 256GB microSD memory card.

UmiDigi Z1 is loaded with Android 7.0 (Nougat). It features a front facing fingerprint sensor that can unlock your phone in under 0.2 second. It also supports USB Type C, Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band Wi-Fi and LTE. UmiDigi Z1 supports LTE on MTN, Etisalat, NTel, Smile, and NTel in Nigeria just like its earlier phones like the UmiDigi Z Pro.

Pricing and Availability

Umidigi Z1 is available at a price of around $229.99. You can buy it for $229.99 on GearBest. You can also find the smartphone at online retailers like Banggood and Egrow.

The Umidigi Z1 may endup selling on Jumia Nigeria as some of the older models from the company are currently being offered by an international third party seller. When that happens, Umidigi Z1 price in Nigeria should range from 105,000 Naira and 130,000 Naira.
