The United Kingdom has significantly increased the number of organisations licensed to sponsor workers through its worker and temporary worker immigration routes, offering more opportunities for skilled professionals from Nigeria and other countries to seek employment in the UK, Okay.ng reports.

According to an updated list published by the UK government on Friday, August 23, a total of 119,195 companies are now approved to sponsor workers under the Skilled Worker visa category. This represents a considerable expansion, reflecting the UK’s continued efforts to attract global talent across various industries.

Nigerians interested in working in the UK are advised to visit the websites of these approved companies to search for available vacancies. The companies span several sectors, including technology, commerce, education, media, advertisement, and engineering.

The Skilled Worker visa is a key pathway that allows eligible individuals to come to or stay in the UK for work with an approved employer. The UK government, in guidance provided on its official website, outlines that this visa route is available to charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility specialists, and international sportspersons.
