Earlier today, Triple MG label co-owner Iyanya announced via his Instagram page that he will be setting a record label of his own and also releasing a new album.

The announcement caused quite a debate among the fans of the ‘Your Waist’ hitmaker and critics alike as to why Iyanya will be setting up a new record label despite co-owning Triple MG.

Many suggested a brewing crisis between the label heads – Iyanya and Ubi Franklin, which may potentially lead to a repeat of the Don Jazzy and D’banj 2012 scenario;where in Iyanya simply wants to move on just the way D’banj moved on.

Well, there appears to be no such thing as an in-house crisis or a split, according to Ubi Franklin who also doubles the work as Iyanya’s manager.

“Don’t worry, there is no issue,” the music executive said whilst speaking to YNaija in a quick telephone chat this evening.

He assured that all was well as regards their joint music venture, also stating that, “when we are ready to reveal how it is going to roll, we will let you know.”
