The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos have officially transitioned to a new visa services provider, Okay.ng reports.

The change, which was announced on the Embassy’s official website, affects the process for scheduling visa interviews, making fee payments, and accessing customer services.

According to the announcement, applicants with non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled on or before August 16, 2024, do not need to take any additional steps.

These individuals can continue to access their existing accounts at ustraveldocs.com to view appointment details and seek customer service assistance as required.

However, for those with interviews scheduled on or after August 26, 2024, a new visa services website has been introduced and is now active.

This platform will serve as the primary resource for applicants to manage their visa appointments and payments.

The U.S. Embassy also shared the update via its verified ‘X’ handle (formerly Twitter) @USinNigeria, stating: “Important Visa Services Update! We have moved to a new visa services provider! You can now schedule interview appointments on the new website.”

The official website – www.usvisaappt.com/ said: “This newly enhanced site is the official U.S. website where you can create your account, pay your visa application fee, and schedule your U.S. visa appointment online. Information services for U.S. visa applicants and American Citizens are also available now to support you.
