Transfer News: John Guidetti Joins Alaves from Celta Vigo

Deportivo Alavés has completed the purchase of John Guidetti permanently from Celta Vigo for €5m on a four-year deal.

The Swedish international has played a total of 18 games with El Glorioso and has scored 3 goals and has distributed 3 assists.

The forward started his football career at IF Brommapojkarna, where his talent were discovered. At the age of 16, he signed for Manchester City, where he was loaned back again to IF Brommapojkarna to continue his training. He returned to England where he was transferred to Burnley in 2010.

In January 2014 Stoke City signed him on loan deal for the end of the season. It is then when he signs for the Celtic of Glasgow marking 15 goals in a total of 35 encounter. In July 2015, the Swede signed for Celta de Vigo after finishing his contract with Manchester City to finally arrive at Deportivo Alavés in January 2018.
