Reports circulating online suggest that gospel singer Tope Alabi allegedly refused to perform at actress Lizzy Anjorin’s surprise birthday party held on Friday in Lagos.

According to these reports, Tope Alabi had been contracted and paid to perform at the event. However, upon arriving at the venue and realizing that the celebration was for Lizzy Anjorin, the award-winning singer reportedly declined to take the stage.

This news has quickly spread across social media platforms, sparking varied reactions among online users. Some commenters expressed support for Tope Alabi’s alleged decision, with one user suggesting she was unwilling to associate with someone involved in public controversies. Another comment referenced past online disputes involving Lizzy Anjorin and other individuals. Conversely, some users expressed surprise and curiosity about the situation, while others speculated about potential repercussions from Lizzy Anjorin. One comment noted that Lizzy Anjorin is reportedly a big fan of Tope Alabi, suggesting there might be a significant underlying reason for the singer’s alleged actions.

It’s worth recalling Lizzy Anjorin’s past statements regarding her relationships with colleagues. In a previous interview, she claimed that she does not initiate conflicts but only responds when provoked. She attributed her social media altercations to other colleagues, whom she described as the instigators.
Notably, Lizzy Anjorin has had a long-standing and public feud with actress Iyabo Ojo.
