President Bola Tinubu has expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Chief (Dr.) Pascal Gabriel Dozie, conveying his condolences to the Dozie family, the business community, and the entire nation. Dozie, a respected elder statesman, entrepreneur, and banker, passed away at the age of 85.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Chief Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu recognized Dozie as a visionary whose contributions have left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s economic landscape.

The President highlighted Dozie’s pivotal role in founding Diamond Bank and his pioneering leadership as Chairman of MTN Nigeria, emphasizing his impact on the banking and telecommunications sectors, both crucial to Nigeria’s development.

President Tinubu noted that Dozie’s unwavering belief in Nigeria’s potential was instrumental in transforming the financial services industry and expanding mobile connectivity across the country. His influence extended far beyond the corporate realm.
