President Bola Tinubu extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria’s football talents, Victor Osimhen, Asisat Oshoala, and Chiamaka Nnadozie, for their remarkable achievements at the 2023 CAF Awards held in Marrakesh, Morocco.

In a statement released from the State House in Abuja by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser of the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu hailed Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles’ formidable forward, for clinching the prestigious CAF 2023 Men’s Player of the Year accolade.

The President also celebrated Asisat Oshoala, the indomitable force of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, for claiming the Women’s Player of The Year award for an unprecedented sixth time, as well as Chiamaka Nnadozie, who was recognized as the Woman Goalkeeper of the Year.

President Tinubu lauded the trio as paragons of national pride and sources of inspiration for aspiring footballers across Africa. He underscored their journey from humble beginnings, acknowledging their roots and the pivotal role played by indigenous coaches in nurturing their careers.
