President Bola Tinubu has conveyed his sincere condolences to the President of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera, the people of Malawi, and the families of the victims over the tragic passing of Vice President Saulos Chilima and other officials in a plane crash on Monday, June 10th.

In a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, on Tuesday, the Nigerian leader expressed his profound sadness over the “deeply distressing incident” that occurred on what he described as a “mournful Monday.”

“President Tinubu commiserates with the families of the deceased over this deeply distressing incident, which happened on a mournful Monday, June 10, 2024,” the statement said.
