Former Governor of Lagos state Bola Tinubu has reportedly donated $30,000 to the family of the late Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya.

It was gathered that the money is for the burial of the deceased actress.

A close source revealed that Tinubu released the equivalent of N11.4 million for the repatriation of her corpse from Canada, where she died, to Nigeria.

The money disbursed by the Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will cover other expenses for the actress’ burial.

The politician contributed the sum on May 22, 2017, after meeting with the family members of the screen goddess and burial committee members.

One of the committee members who revealed that the money had been disbursed, said, “I may be wrong, Asiwaju who promised the committee $40k on Saturday changed it to $30k by Monday. Perhaps he had been fed that Gov Ayo Fayose had helped.

”Meanwhile, the committee had thought they will use the excess to pay Adun’s school fees and empower the grandmum who will take up the upkeep of the 2 months old the deceased left behind.”
