President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo as the Co-Chairman of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Governing Council.

The NCDMB is entrusted with the task of enhancing local content in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, thereby fostering job creation, supporting the growth of the domestic private sector, facilitating technology transfer, and nurturing a competitive local workforce.

Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, who currently serves as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

His appointment aligns with President Tinubu’s dedication to establishing a more streamlined, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects across the country.

In a statement issued by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, it was emphasized that Mr. Ekpo’s appointment also aims to enhance the oversight of the gas sector of Nigeria’s assets.

President Tinubu remains steadfast in his commitment to unlocking the vast potential of Nigeria’s gas resources to drive industrial development, foster job creation, and promote sustainable economic growth.
