Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC Limited) Group CEO Mele Kyari announced that the official spud-in of the first oil well in Nasarawa State will commence in March 2023, this is in continuation of hydrocarbon exploration activities in Nigeria’s inland basins.

The exploration activities in Nasarawa State are part of NNPC Limited’s ongoing efforts to increase Nigeria’s hydrocarbon reserves and boost domestic production.
