Nigerian singer, Teni has taken to her Twitter handle to make an appreciation post thanking the federal government for the national award she received on Tuesday.

Okay.ng understands that Teni’s post is coming after she trended for hours on social media, following a video showing how she collected the award from President Muhammadu Buhari went viral.

Some Nigerians had criticized her for not respecting the president by hand shaking him, while others said they saw nothing wrong in how she collected the award.
