Ecuador troubled the Super Eagles defence with their direct football and were denied a couple of times by the brilliant Francis Uzoho.

Coach Peseiro made two changes at the break, Ola Aina and Emmanuel Dennis, replacing Chidozie Awaziem and Sani Faisal.
