The Super Eagles of Nigeria displayed an impressive performance in a training match on Sunday, thrashing Al Gharbia FC, a local team based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with an astounding scoreline of 12-0.

Ademola Lookman emerged as the star of the match, netting four goals to lead the Eagles to a commanding victory.

The friendly encounter, held in Abu Dhabi, served as a crucial warm-up match for the Nigerian squad ahead of the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon also made significant contributions to the goal tally, each scoring twice during the one-sided affair.

Sadiq Umar, Ahmed Musa, and two own goals from the Emirati side further added to the Eagles’ dominance, completing the comprehensive rout.

Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and Bright Osayi-Samuel showcased their skills, contributing to the aggressive attacking display that kept Al Gharbia FC on the defensive throughout the match.

In the second half, Ojo Olorunleke, the Enyimba goalkeeper who came in for Francis Uzoho, demonstrated his prowess by saving a penalty and ensuring Nigeria’s clean sheet.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Guinea in another friendly match on Monday before concluding their one-week training camp in Abu Dhabi.
