The actual winner was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. The blunder was televised live in many countries around the world.

Upon realizing his mistake, Steve Harvey made a correction and announced Miss Philippines as the winner.

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was shocked when she heard she won, and she walked to the front of stage where she was crowned.
