Spotify, the music streaming giant, has released an exclusive trailer ahead of the launch of Davido’s highly anticipated album, Timeless.

The trailer, which features the Afrobeats star on the set of a TV interview, comes ahead of the album’s release on March 31.

Timeless will be Davido’s first album since A Better Time, which was released in 2020.

The trailer, which was released via Spotify’s social channels, sees Davido discussing his new album in a TV interview. He describes it in one word, “Timeless.”

Fans can also catch a glimpse of the album’s tracklist, which includes a total of 17 tracks, featuring both established international and emerging local artists.

Davido’s reputation as a collaborator and connector in Afrobeats and global music is well-known, and the Timeless album is no different.

The album features a star-studded cast of artists, including UK Grime legend Skepta, Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, dancehall king Dexta Daps, and Nigerian hitmaker Asake.

The album also features emerging talent, including Nigerian singers Logos Olori and Fave, Nigerian folk band The Cavemen, and digital content creator Morravey.

The Spotify-exclusive trailer follows the Timeless Afro playlist, which features the most definitive Afrobeat songs as curated by Davido.

These initiatives are part of Spotify’s support for the singer’s return to the public eye, and the company’s ongoing mission to support African music and its creators.

Commenting on the trailer, Spotify’s Artist and Labels Partnerships Manager for West Africa, Victor Okpala, said, “This release is a much anticipated moment for one of African music’s greatest ambassadors of the digital era. Spotify is committed to providing a platform for global audiences to connect with African content, and we’re glad to support Davido as he achieves another milestone.”

The Timeless tracklist, as revealed in the Spotify-exclusive trailer, includes a range of tracks, including “Champion Sound” featuring Amapiano ambassador Focalistic, “U (Juju)” featuring Skepta, and “Na Money” featuring The Cavemen and Angelique Kidjo.
