Leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, has spoken for the first time since he was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Okay.ng understands that members of the Take It Back Movement visited the former presidential candidate at the DSS facility he is being held in Abuja.

The officers allowed the guests to present him with food as he has refused to eat meals given to him by the security agency since he was detained.

The visitors met him in high spirits, unmoved by the events of the last few days.

Sowore speaking to his visitors asked about Movement and Party faithfuls as he is aware that there will be a lot of worry about his wellbeing, and would like to assure everyone that he is being treated well and is in very good health.

The activist also said he is delighted that the peaceful #RevolutionNow protests he called Nigerians to stand for went ahead, and expressed his dismay at knowledge of the sheer number of innocent Nigerians being arrested for exercising their civil rights.

“I would like to assure everyone that I am being treated well and in very good health,” he said.

“I am pleased that the peaceful #RevolutionNow protests went ahead.

“However, knowledge of the sheer number of innocent Nigerians being arrested for exercising their civil rights bothers me.

“I join others in demanding for the immediate and unconditional release of all those arrested by the police on Monday.”

The Take It Back Movement revealed that its members will be allowed to bring him food daily as per his wishes.
