Nigerian actor Oyebamiji Quadri, fondly known as Sisi Quadri, has sadly passed away at the age of 45.

Known for his comedic roles in Yoruba movies and social media skits, Quadri died on Friday in his hometown in Osun State following a brief illness.

The actor’s death comes on the same day as the release of his latest movie, Anikulapo: Rise of the Specter, where he portrayed one of the three ghosts in the mystical epic series directed by Kunle Afolayan.

Colleagues of Quadri have taken to social media to confirm the news and mourn his passing. Nollywood actress Abiola Bayo expressed her grief on Instagram, writing, “You will be greatly missed Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace. May God comfort all your loved ones.”
