Senator representing Kaduna Central at the Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani, has launched his re-election bid on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Senator Sani named Monday Onyebuchi, a Kaduna-born Igbo man, as the director-general of his campaign.

The Kaduna Central lawmaker had resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the controversies which trailed the party’s primaries for the 2019 elections.

Speaking on Tuesday, Sani said: “Today, I’m launching my bid for re-election to the Senate to represent Kaduna Central as the flag bearer of the People’s Redemption Party PRP.

“I seek to represent you in order to remain your force for freedom and your voice for justice. I seek for your new mandate in order to continue to defend and project your interest.

“I appointed a Kaduna born and based Igbo man, Chief Monday Onyebuchi, as my Campaign DG.

“You have a choice in Kaduna central; to vote for me or to vote for a sit-in stooge who will be there to keep the seat for the Governor.

“The future of your country is in your thumb. You either move to the promised land or remain in Egypt.”
