Meanwhile, Senate Minority leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, PDP, Taraba South, yesterday told the Senate that the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, ordered the withdrawal of his security detail for criticizing him.

Bwacha said policemen attached to him were asked to disembark from his convoy and report at the nearest police station at a spot known for kidnapping.

Disclosing this while contributing to the alarm raised by Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, of a grand plan by the Inspector- General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, to implicate him, using some cultists who have been arrested in Kwara State, Bwacha said the police officers abandoned him on the trip, despite having duly requested their company.
