Security operatives have apprehended a group of kidnappers operating in the Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State. The arrest was confirmed by the Chairman of Qua’an Pan LGA, Christopher Manship, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Danaan Sylvanus.
According to the statement, the kidnappers were paraded during a high-level security meeting held at Koprume Barrack in Qua’an Pan. The operatives also recovered N2.25 million, which was reportedly collected as ransom by the suspects.
Manship praised the security agencies for their professionalism in retrieving the ransom and capturing the suspects. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving regional security and ensuring the safety of residents.
In a related development, security operatives arrested another individual involved in attacks on travelers along Juku Road in Nasarawa State. The suspect confessed to using AK47 rifles in their operations.
The Qua’an Pan chairman urged security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend other kidnappers and robbers terrorizing the area, emphasizing the need for sustained action to curb criminal activities.
