Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), the global leader in AI CRM, has announced the general availability of Agentforce, a new AI-powered layer on the Salesforce Platform that allows companies to build and deploy autonomous AI agents across various business functions.

Unlike traditional chatbots, Agentforce agents can take action without human input, from resolving customer issues to optimizing marketing campaigns and qualifying sales leads.

Agentforce’s AI agents are not dependent on human engagement, activating autonomously through data changes, business rules, automations, or API signals from other systems. The platform features out-of-the-box agents customizable with low-code or no-code tools. Among them, Agentforce Service Agent is now available and can perform a wide range of tasks, handling simple and complex cases with industry-specific capabilities, like order management for retail or billing support for financial services.

“Agentforce is redefining what’s possible in business, ushering in a new era of AI abundance and limitless workforces that augment every employee, build deeper customer relationships, and drive unprecedented growth and profitability,” said Zuko Mdwaba, Salesforce’s Africa executive and South Africa country leader.

Built on Salesforce’s trusted platform, Agentforce integrates seamlessly with enterprise data, AI models, security, and applications. Customers can convert existing Flows, prompt templates, Apex, and APIs into agent actions, linking effortlessly with Data Cloud, Slack, MuleSoft, and other Salesforce-native tools. The new Agent Builder enables admins and developers to create agents using natural language instructions and custom guardrails.

At Dreamforce 2024, Salesforce customers created over 10,000 autonomous agents designed to meet specific business challenges. The takeaway: “If you can describe it, Agentforce can do it,” allowing users to build a digital workforce that operates without constraints and is deployable using Salesforce’s tools and language.

Agentforce is set to redefine business automation, offering companies of all sizes an integrated, ready-to-use AI solution for transforming business operations.
