Nigerian music heavyweight Rudeboy has once again affirmed his status as a certified hitmaker with the release of his latest single, “Billo$”, under his imprint Fire Department Inc.

The track, which dropped this week, follows a string of 2024 singles including “Feelings” and “Winning,” adding more firepower to the veteran artist’s solo catalogue. Born Paul Okoye, Rudeboy, one half of the iconic duo P-Square is widely regarded as a defining force in Afrobeats, known for creating music that balances street appeal with chart-topping potential.

“Billo$” is a bold, celebratory anthem tailored for those who hustle hard and live large. The song kicks off with the instantly addictive chant “Billo billios … billo billios…”, setting the tone for a soundscape packed with vibrant percussion and a pulsating bassline.

Lyrically, Rudeboy dives into the aspirational spirit that has defined his career, referencing “steady billy gating,” a clever nod to Bill Gates as he paints a picture of relentless ambition and accumulating wealth. His delivery carries his signature blend of swagger, grit, and melodic precision, with every line exuding confidence.

The track is produced by Lordsky, who injects the perfect mix of rhythmic bounce and sonic clarity to make “Billo$” a dancefloor-ready anthem. The production is crisp, vibrant, and soaked in the kind of energy that fuels both clubs and car speakers.

With decades of dominance, first with P-Square and now as a solo act, Rudeboy continues to reinvent himself while staying true to the sound and message that made him a household name. Songs like “Reason With Me” and “Woman” cemented his place as an Afropop storyteller for the everyday Nigerian, and “Billo$” extends that legacy, but this time with a champagne glass in hand.
