The Portugal international has cemented his place as one of the world’s best ever players since moving to the Bernabeu from Manchester United in 2009.

And, during that eight-year spell, speculation has linked him with a return to Old Trafford or a megamoney switch to Paris St-Germain.

However, it now seems Ronaldo’s most likely destination if he walks away from Real Madrid is the cash-rich Chinese Super League.

The 32-year-old did little to stop the rumours by saying “nothing is impossible” when he was recently asked about a move to the Far East.

And reports in Spain suggest an unnamed Chinese club will table a world-record £175m offer for him within the next 10 days.

AS claim representatives will fly to Madrid to meet Florentino Perez in order to discuss a deal next week.

And they add Ronaldo will be handed the chance to boost his annual salary to £105m – more than £2m a week.

The Chinese Super League transfer window is open between June 19 and July 14.

And AS ’ report indicates the side interested in Ronaldo want to get an agreement sorted as soon as possible.

Real Madrid inserted an £876m release clause into the contract he last signed, tying him down until 2021, though.

And AS say they are likely to reject the supposed incoming proposal, despite the boost it would give to Zinedine Zidane’s transfer kitty.
