Rihanna visits school children in Malawi

Rihanna displays her Global Ambassador for Education duties as she pays a visit to Malawi to meet with educators, government officials, and school children to promote access to education for children.

RiRi dressed down and hit up a school on Thursday in Lilongwe. She became an ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education back in September, so she’s clearly diving into the role.

The socially-conscious Rihanna helps poor kids around the world have access to proper education. The pop sensation is an ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), non-profit organization, since last September.

“Working together, I know we can amplify our efforts and ensure that millions of children gain access to education globally,” Rihanna stated.

Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty founded CLF in 2012 in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.

The singer was spotted with Global Citizen CEO
Hugh Evans as well as Julia Gillard , GPE’s board of directors chair during a meeting in a Malawian village.
