The club issued an official statement confirming the mutual termination of Benzema’s contract, set to take effect at the end of this month.

Madrid’s upcoming match against Athletic Club Bilbao today will mark the Frenchman’s final appearance in the revered white jersey.

The French forward’s impact on the team and his ability to consistently deliver on the grandest stages have made him one of the most successful players in Real Madrid’s storied lineage.

Real Madrid has announced that on Tuesday, a special institutional act of homage and farewell will be held to honor Benzema’s immense contributions. Club president, Florentino Perez, will be present to pay tribute to the 35-year-old striker, reflecting on his unforgettable journey with the club.

Speculation surrounds Benzema’s future destination, with reports indicating that the Frenchman is set to embark on a new chapter of his career with Al-Ittihad. The Saudi club has reportedly extended an enticing contract offer to Benzema, presenting an intriguing opportunity for the veteran forward to showcase his skills in a different league.
