R&B legend, R. Kelly had a sit-down with HuffPost Live for a 20-minute interview when suddenly the conversation went from friendly to hostile and just plain awkward.

The 48-year-old singer, who came for the interview to promote his new album The Buffet, was questioned by  host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani about his multiple sex allegations with minors and how it may discourage fans from purchasing his album. R.Kelly responded that he was loved by his fans and tried to change the topic, but the host kept on with more questions and even went ahead to read tweets from fans relating to rape and sex allegations.

It was at this point that the Trapped in the Closet crooner decided he couldn’t take the ‘badgering’ anymore. He fired back at the host by asking if she was drunk. He also questioned her intelligence and accused her of insulting and disrespecting him before threatening to walk out of the interview.

“I did not come here to get interrogated. You can’t satisfy everybody,” he stated. “I will continue to do my job until I get fired, and the only people who can fire me are my fans.” Before his exit, R. Kelly paused to tell the host she was beautiful to which she responded “You don’t have to comment on my appearance, sir.”

R.Kelly first came under fire for having relations with a minor when he illegally got married to late singer, Aaliyah in 1994. She was only 15 while he was 25.
