Nollywood actor and comedian, Baba Tee, has publicly challenged content creator Ijoba Lande to provide proof of allegations that he was among the entertainers who had affairs with his estranged wife, Dara.

The challenge follows a viral video by Ijoba Lande in which he accused Baba Tee and about 20 other personalities of having inappropriate relationships with his wife, ultimately causing their separation earlier this year.

Ijoba Lande had also accused his manager, Mary Gold, who happens to be Dara’s best friend, of introducing Dara to Baba Tee, despite knowing she was married.

In response, Mary Gold stirred more controversy by alleging that Baba Tee became involved with Dara after she had mockingly labelled him “impotent.”

Reacting vehemently in a video interview posted on his Instagram, Baba Tee categorically denied the accusations, insisting he has never had any form of relationship with Dara.

“I have never met or spoken to Lande’s wife in my life,” Baba Tee declared. “I didn’t even know what she looked like until mid-2024 when Mary Gold called me regarding an MC job because I’m also a stand-up comedian.”

Narrating further, Baba Tee stated that Mary Gold introduced Dara simply as a content creator and upcoming artiste when she visited him in his estate regarding a movie launch.

“Mary Gold said she was in my estate and wanted to see me about the launch of her movie,” Baba Tee explained. “But she barged in with a total stranger, and I questioned why she brought someone I didn’t know to my house.”

He recounted overhearing a suspicious conversation between Mary Gold and Dara, prompting him to confront them and subsequently discovering Dara’s true identity.

“I overheard them talking in my apartment, and Mary Gold was saying, ‘It seems Baba Tee is already aware.’ I had to barge in and ask, ‘What does Baba Tee know?’” he said. “It took a while before she confessed that the lady was Lande’s wife. And I asked, ‘Why didn’t you introduce her as Lande’s wife?’”

Expressing shock and disappointment at the allegations, Baba Tee directly challenged Lande to substantiate his claims with tangible proof.

“The next thing I heard was Lande calling me out on Instagram, hurling insults at me,” Baba Tee said, visibly upset. “I was shocked because I have only seen Lande once in my life. Lande, I am putting this to you—present evidence for the allegations you have made against me. Show proof to the world that I slept with your wife.”
