Residents of Minna, Niger State, took to the streets on Monday in protest against the escalating cost of living in Nigeria, blocking major roads in the capital.

Women and youths, vocalizing their discontent through protest songs, expressed frustration over the rising prices of essential goods and perceived government inaction.

Okay.ng reports that security forces, including policemen, observed as the demonstrators demanded government intervention to alleviate their economic hardships.

Protesters emphasized that the high cost of food items prompted their decision to disrupt normalcy, hoping to draw attention to their plight.
