On Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Five Palm in Oniru, Lagos, played host to a grand traditional wedding that brought together the Ojo family of Nigeria and the Mkambala family of Tanzania. The union of Priscilla, daughter of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, and Juma, son of the Mkambalas, was celebrated with pomp and pageantry.
The ceremony was attended by celebrities and dignitaries, with every detail—from the décor to the seating—reflecting elegance. The couple dazzled in blue and pink traditional attire, while their bridal party wore coordinated pink outfits.
A highlight of the day was Juma’s heartfelt plea to Priscilla’s family for her hand in marriage. Priscilla, in turn, gifted Juma a throw pillow bearing his late father’s image, and shared emotional moments with her parents, Ademidun and Iyabo Ojo, who reunited for the occasion.
Actress Toyin Abraham and entrepreneur Chioma Ikwoku were among those who ensured the event ran smoothly, while Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Priscilla’s best friend, attended to her needs.
Describing the moment, Juma said, “I feel great. It is like a dream come true. I have been waiting for this day for so long.” Priscilla recalled their first meeting in Rwanda, noting their instant connection.
The celebration included a performance by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and concluded with a lively after-party. The festivities followed earlier ceremonies in Tanzania, including a traditional wedding and a civil ceremony.
