Malam Ballo Isyaku, Principal of Government College, Katsina, who released Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s certificate, is alive and in good condition, the Katsina Police Command has said.

The Katsina Police command, today, January 25, 2015 debunked the earlier speculated rumours that Malam Balo Isyaku was murdered.

In a press conference, The command’s Public Relations Officer, Aminu Sadiq, stated this to journalists in Katsina.

He said that the command had contacted top officials of the ministry of education and they confirmed that the principal was in good condition.

Mr. Sadiq said that the command had also contacted the Commissioner for Education, and the Zonal Director of education, who assured the police that the rumour was false.

“We are surprised to read the story online that the principal had been killed by unknown gunmen.

“The command wishes to state that the principal in question is currently organising a naming ceremony for a new born baby that came into his family.”

Mr. Sadiq also called on the members of the public to disregard the publication as the handwork of mischief makers, adding that some disgruntled elements were out to cause disaffection among the residents of Katsina.

You’d recall that last week. The Government College, formerly Provincial Secondary School, Katsina, released the secondary school certificate examination results of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate.
