President Bola Tinubu is set to deliver a national broadcast this evening at 7:00 PM to address the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, a situation that has increasingly drawn attention due to heightened political tensions.

In a bid to address the escalating conflict, President Tinubu convened an urgent meeting earlier today at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The gathering included key figures such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. Although the specifics of the meeting were not disclosed, the discussion is believed to have focused on finding solutions to the Rivers State crisis.

According to Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the broadcast will be aired by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Television and radio stations nationwide have been instructed to link up with the broadcast to ensure extensive coverage.

Nigerians are eagerly awaiting President Tinubu’s address, hoping for clarity and decisive action to restore stability in Rivers State. Many believe the President’s intervention will be crucial in resolving the crisis and ensuring the rule of law is upheld.
