Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has urged Nigerians to be patient, adding that President Buhari is aware of the pains they are going through.

Osinbajo said this at an All Progressives Congress (APC) conference in Ibadan on Thursday, August, 18, 2016.

The VP, who was represented by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, admitted that they did not know that things had gone very bad in the country.

Osinbajo also said the government is working hard to ensure that Nigerians start feeling the impact its policies.

He said “When we took over the reins of governance, we knew that things were bad. What we did not realise, however, was just how bad they really were. Now we know better. The current pains and sufferings that our people are feeling today are the results of yesterday’s mismanagement of the commonwealth of our great country

“President Buhari is only too aware of the economic hardship that our people are facing. He feels the pains that you feel, and he has asked me to reassure you that a glorious dawn awaits you. As you all may well know, the darkest part of the night is the period before dawn. Nigeria’s dawn is about to break. We are determined to turn things around, so that, once more, our people will begin to feel real impact of government in their lives.”
