President Muhammadu Buhari has recalled Nigerian ambassadors from their stations across the world.

It is unclear what the president’s purpose for the recall is, but it is likely that some of them might be dropped as new governments usually use ambassadorial positions to reward party members who worked for its victory.

The recall has been confirmed by the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, even though he says that is is only non-career ambassadors who have been recalled by the Federal Government.
