Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has returned to the studio after his release from police custody. Following his arrest for defaulting on the payment plan for his G-Wagon SUV, Portable has shared a snippet of his upcoming new song, “Spiderman”.

Produced by 2tuponthebeat, the song references the singer’s agility and quick thinking, as seen in the viral video where he jumped over a gate to evade arrest. The incident occurred on Tuesday, and after spending 24 hours in custody, Portable regained his freedom after meeting the bail conditions set for his release.

The new song “Spiderman” is a response to his recent arrest, with Portable hinting at his determination to continue chasing his dreams despite the challenges he faces. In a recent social media post, he wrote, “They chase me, I dey chase dream”.

This is not the first time Portable has been in the news for controversy. In March 2023, he was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for cursing and rough handling some men of the Nigeria Police Force in two video clips that went viral.

Despite the controversies, Portable is moving forward with his music career, hinting at a June US tour and working on new music. Fans can expect the full release of “Spiderman” soon.
